High coverage
Excellent indoor penetration & range—ideal for pits, basements, and remote measuring points.
Compact NB-IoT communication for meters & encoders
Battery-powered, secure & energy-efficient – >10 years runtime, autonomous remote meter reading.
The NB IoT Box LITE is a battery-powered ATEX data logger with integrated NB-IoT engine (NB2) for autonomous measuring points. It captures pulses as well as SCR encoder signals and transmits meter and sensor data energy-efficiently via NB-IoT directly to a server/cloud. Thanks to optimized power management, the solution achieves up to 10 years of battery life—ideal for smart metering and compact encoder applications.
Sensors or meters provide pulses or encoder signals. The NB IoT Box LITE records these values at configurable times and buffers them. It then transmits the data without a gateway over the NB-IoT network to a server/cloud. The transmission interval is configurable, but optimized for hourly transmission to keep power consumption minimal.
No local gateway required—direct, secure cellular transmission.
Excellent indoor penetration & range—ideal for pits, basements, and remote measuring points.
Optimized for long battery life: sleep modes, narrowband transmission, low overhead.
Licensed networks, SIM-based security, carrier scaling—no own gateway infrastructure.

Yes, the LITE is ATEX-suitable. Please observe the installation and usage notes in the datasheet.
The box transmits using standardized protocols (e.g., MQTT/CoAP) to server/cloud. Integration into your backend is therefore straightforward.
An add-on housing is available for pulse inputs; a nap-on housing for SCR encoders (e.g., BK gas meters). See datasheet for details.
